February AGM, Re-election of Management Committee and Soldier On

The AGM was held in February.

It commenced with a great talk from Soldier On about the work which they do with the new veterans who are returning from action and finding that PTSD is a major hurdle in their lives which is not being addressed fully in the veterans care sphere. Soldier On aims to set up a permanent facility in this area to help those soldiers and their families deal with the issues involved and to help them reintegrate into the community fully after service. Details of the very important work that Soldier On does is available on https://www.soldieron.org.au/ . The Creek to Creek Chamber sees this project as an important way that we can assist the community and once the Soldier On project for QLD is in place we intend to take an active role in its work as a mentor and support network for our returned service men and women going forwards.

During the AGM part of the meeting the financial result for the last 2 years were issued and discussed. The Presidents report was delivered as well as the committee re-elected unopposed. We also welcomed a number of new committee members. (Link to Archives http://www.creektocreekchamber.org.au/documents)
