TAFE Queensland offers business support and upskilling opportunities

TAFE Queensland offers excellent opportunities to support your business and to upskill your staff as part of its COVID-19 response.

 
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, TAFE Queensland, in conjunction with the Queensland Government, is offering a range of education and training to support individuals, and small, medium and large businesses.
 
The education program on offer includes:

Individual mentoring sessions

Mentoring for Growth (M4G), fully-funded and delivered through the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT), offers eligible businesses free access to volunteer business experts who provide insights, options and suggestions relating to challenges and opportunities you are experiencing in your business.

The Mentoring for Growth program currently has more than 50 mentors ready to connect with impacted small businesses.

Mentors are available to provide tailored support including financial mentoring and business planning.

Building your web-conferencing skills

Learn practical and creative ways to engage with clients and the community online with this short course. If you are interested in providing online coaching, training, instruction, meetings or social meet-ups via web conferencing, this course has been designed with you in mind.

Financial resilience workshops

Register for one of TAFE Queensland’s Financial Resilience Workshops. The workshops are fully funded by the Queensland Government (Department of Employment, Small Business and Training), they only take an hour and a half, are available online and have so far received really great feedback.

Free Micro-credentials

TAFE Queensland’s micro-credentials are short, highly targeted courses designed to help you improve a specific skill. They are completely free and typically only take an hour or so to complete online. All of the programs are non-accredited and therefore there is no assessment. The following micro-credentials are available now:

- Digital Literacy Essentials
- Cyber Security Essentials
- Communication Technologies for Business Success
- Digital Data Essentials
- Data Security Essentials
- Data Analysis Essentials


Skill Sets

Skill sets are a great way to quickly build on your existing skills or retrain in a new area. The skills sets are accredited training and involve assessment. TAFE Queensland is currently taking Expressions of Interest for the following Skills Sets:
