The Office of Fair Trading is responsible for administering a wide range of consumer protection laws in Queensland, including the Australian Consumer Law (Queensland). These laws directly affect everybody in the community across their daily lives, both as consumers and business operators.  Come along to this free presentation to learn more about your rights and responsibilities in the marketplace.

We welcome guest speaker Warren Smith, who has been with the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) for over 10 years. Warren is an OFT Inspector whose primary duties include the conciliation of consumer complaints as well as providing education to different consumer groups and to broad range of traders. Peforming compliance checks is another role that Warren undertakes.

The variety of work, and the challenges that this work can provide, means that Warren is never bored with work!
