Estella Rodighiero, CEO of Regional Development Australia Gold Coast Inc will be presenting on the recently released Gold Coast Emerging Biomedial Industry Study, a game changer for the sector, laying out an action plan to help harness and direct its expected exponential growth over the next decade, and promote our city's biomed credentials internationally.

  • Working Holiday and Pacific Labour Mobile (PALM) schemes
  • Visa processing time frames

Whilst the representative cannot provide individualised immigration advise, they can answer general questions and provide tips to help navigate the migration system.

Estella Rodighiero is one of South East Queensland’s most highly regarded economic development professionals, a sought-after speaker on innovation in regional strategy, and more recently host of the successful Gold Coast Insider podcast - a series of insightful interviews with leading business, tech and community trailblazers. Working predominantly in SEQ and north Queensland for over two decades, Estella has developed award-winning employment and small business initiatives, catalysed regional industry sectors by designing and implementing multi-million-dollar bespoke projects, orchestrated inbound and outbound international trade missions, and advised governments on the regional impacts of policy and programs.

Currently her work at Regional Development Australia Gold Coast involves actively leading transformative projects to ignite and support the Gold Coast's key industry sectors, which include Space, Aerospace & Defence, Biomed, Industry 4.0, Advanced Manufacturing and Marine. She is also assisting local business and industry to prepare for a low carbon future with initiatives such as Sustainable Gold Coast.

Estella is an Executive Member of the Gold Coast City Heart Taskforce, a member of the Foundation Advisory Board at Queensland Leaders Gold Coast, board member of LifeFlight Australia Ltd and member of the Artificial Intelligence Action Plan Program Committee. She has been recognised with awards such as the ANZRSAI Practitioner Award for Excellence in Regional Development, and Economic Development Australia’s National Award for Excellence - AusIndustry Innovation Award.

Marny Bowman – Department of Home Affairs

Marny is a Business, Industry and Regional Outreach Officer, otherwise known as a BIRO.

BIRO are part of a national network of outreach officers who engage and assist stakeholders across the country with an understanding of the skilled migration program and provide information on appropriate visa options to help fill workforce needs where positions cannot be filled by Australian workers.

They accomplish this by liaising with various businesses, government agencies, industry, and union groups and by holding public information events.

Mark Duckworth - Director, Festivals & Events, Experience Gold Coast

Experience Gold Coast’s Mark Duckworth is the festival director for Blues on Broadbeach and the Southern Gold Coast’s own award winning Cooly Rocks On.
