Please join us for our 2023 AGM on Thursday 12th October at the Currumbin RSL commencing at 7am, with Guest Speaker, Karen Andrews MP, who will talk about the Challenges & Opportunities in the Southern Gold Coast.

We invite all financial members to enjoy a free breakfast, and to learn what the Chamber has achieved in the last 12 months. 

This event will be FREE for each financial member with a voting right, however BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL for catering purposes. Guests and non-members will be charged $35.

Hon Karen Andrews MP - Federal Member for McPherson

Karen’s commitment to serving the local community led to her decision to stand as the LNP candidate for McPherson and she was successful at the 2010 election. Karen was re-elected in 2013 and again in 2016, 2019 and 2022 to represent Southern Gold Coast residents in the Federal Parliament.

Karen was made the first female Minister for Industry, Science and Technology in August 2018 and the first female Minister for Home Affairs in March 2021. Karen was also the first woman from Queensland to sit around the Cabinet table in the Federal Parliament.

She was born and educated in Queensland and has a history of breaking down barriers. She worked at power stations in Queensland, and in Victoria she became both the first female and the youngest plant engineer employed by a petrochemical company. She brings her experience in engineering, industrial relations and running her own business to her role as the Federal Member for McPherson.
